We call them "Rollup Roller Shades" because they rollup smoothly. These roller shades will blackout the light- definitely. The fabric is durable- not the low quality thin plastic from years ago. Our roller shades are made from longer lasting 4-ply materials, For greater light control, consider an outside mount- with 2-3 inches extra on each side. Or, combine them with another treatment. Sleep- Blackout Rollup Roller Shades use only first quality blackout roller shade fabric. No "Seconds" of any kind are ever used on our roller shades. The fabric has a fiberglass base with double coated vinyl plastic leading to a stronger, thicker weight and a higher opacity for more effective light control. It is pliable and has been properly treated to resist pin-holing, cracking and breaking, and is flame resistant. The fabric is waterproof and color fast to water and light. It has sufficient rigidity to insure straight hanging, resists curl twists, bowing and distortion – it is dimensionally stable to resist changes in shape and size. However, shades wider than 108" may have some minor deflection (sag) in the center. Sleep- Blackout Rollup Roller Shades that are both wider than 72" and longer than 60" will have a seam, shades wider than 72" but shorter than 60" will have no seam. Sleep- Blackout RollUp Roller Shade Ordering Note...  If ordering outside mount, please be aware that fabric width will be 1 1/4" LESS than the installation bracket width. If the actual fabric width is critical when ordering an outside mount, ADD 1 1/4" to your measured width. Roller shades wider than 108" may have some minor deflection (sag) in the center. Larger sizes may be offered in manual spring-assisted.
